Beia Consult is glad to announce newly started projects named CitiSim, 3DSafeguard and ALADIN. The general purpose of CitiSim is devoted to the design and implementation of a new generation platform for the Smart City ecosystem. The project will provide service developers with a set of services, standards, and tools for the development of applications for the smart city.. 3DSafeguard proposes a solution to enable situational awareness during rescue, firefighting and police operations that will increase coordination efficiency and reduces decision-making mistakes. The project is supported by 14 end-users of various nature: public authorities; fire, police and rescue departments; public safety associations, and private security companies operating worldwide. ALADIN will improve the Safety management functions of providing air navigation services that make sure that all safety risks will be identified, assessed and reduced to an acceptable level since, within the recent applications, there are not integrated Cyber Security tools for Airports Communications.
Lufft (OTT Hydromet business) announced that the active road and runway weather sensor ARS31Pro-UMB will be installed at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The first phase is now going on and means placing ARS31-sensors in the runway “Kaagbaan”. Later this year sensors will be placed at the terminals. The active ARS31Pro-UMB sensor is flush-mounted in the road/runway surface and measures the freezing temperature by means of active cooling and heating of the sensor surface.
